WHAT IS THE USE OF SHIELD BOX ?
Shield Box is used for performance / reliability charaterization of Wireless / Cellular / IoT Devices. In order to test these devices for precise test output with repeatability one has to carry out tested in an isolated environment. Shielded test enclosures provide a convinient and economical way to do this. Connventionally, this was done in an anechoic chamber which is a considerabliy large room and is comparatively very expensive. Shield Boxes come in different size / shape and mount options i.e. : Rack Mount Shield Boxes for Vertical Test Setups , Bech-top Shield Boxes , Stand-alone Portable Shield Boxes on Wheels.

OTA device testing is a method of measuring a wireless device's wireless performance and reliability via the antenna. Simulating use cases in real-life situations allows the radio signal of the wireless device to be analysed in a variety of ways. The device under test (DUT) is kept in a controlled test environment, such as a shield box or a walk-in chamber, to achieve this. Any outside signals are blocked from entering the test chamber. The purpose of OTA testing is to ensure that the device's wireless performance is satisfactory and that it responds to the test conditions as expected.
Testing a DUT / UE – OTA requires a controlled environment free from uncontrolled / ambient interference. You can provide such an isolated and controlled environment with the use of High Isolation OTA Testing Shield Boxes and Anechoic Chambers Manufactured by RF Electronics.
